Bheed: Bhumi Pednekar to star opposite Rajkummar Rao in Anubhav Sinha’s directorial

Actress Bhumi Pednekar has joined Rajkummar Rao starrer Bheed. The movie will be directed by Anubhav Sinha. Bheed is Bhumi and Rajkummar’s second movie. They will be seen in Badhaai Do which is their first movie together. Both Bhumi and Rajkummar are versatile actors and fans are eagerly waiting for them to create magic on screen.

Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, today tweeted, “BHUMI PEDNEKAR OPP. RAJKUMMAR RAO IN ‘BHEED’… #BhumiPednekar has been cast opposite #RajkummarRao in director #AnubhavSinha’s new film #Bheed… Produced by #BhushanKumar and #AnubhavSinha… Starts Nov 2021(sic)”.

Earlier, a report in ETimes had stated that Bhumi and Raj will join Anubhav Sinha in Lucknow soon after Diwali to begin shoot of Bheed. The filmmaker is currently busy with the post-production work on Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Anek and pre-production of Bheed.

The film is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha. Bheed is said to be a hard-hitting social drama. It will go on floors in November.

Talking about Rajkummar and Bhumi’s Badhaai Do, it is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni. It is a sequel of Ayushmann’s 2018 film Badhaai Ho. Rajkummar plays Shardul, who is a policeman, while Bhumi will be seen as Sumi, who is a physical education teacher.
