‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’: Kartik Aaryan steps into Akshay Kumar’s shoes to be the next ghostbuster

Kartik Aaryan’s fans were excited when there were rumours that the ‘Luka Chuppi’ actor will be stepping into the shoes of Akshay Kumar for a sequel of his super hit blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. Well, fans can rejoice for real this time as the posters of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ were revealed today and they featured Kartik Aaryan in it.

The ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ actor took to his social media handle to reveal the first look of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and we must say that Kartik looks like Akshay’s doppelganger. He wrote, “Ghostbuster is all set to enter ? Hare Ram Hare Ram ? Hare Krishna Hare Ram ? ? ? ❤️#Bhoolbhulaiyaa2 ✌? (sic).” The poster looks strikingly similar to that of the prequel and Kartik fits seamlessly into Akshay’s persona.

The film is all set to return after 13 years and the poster has the caption which says, “13 saal baad…. the haunting comedy returns (sic).” Keeping the gist of horror-comedy in another poster, Kartik is seen resting between human skulls.

While Kartik is playing Akshay Kumar’s role, fans are eager to know who will play the iconic ‘Manjulika’. It has been reported that Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are considered for the role. However, nothing has been confirmed on the same. Rumours suggest that Janhvi Kapoor has pipped the other two and might have been secretly signed on for the film.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ is slated to release on July 31 next year.

It will have tough competition at the box-office from Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ and Alia Bhatt-Ajay Devgn’s south debut ‘RRR’. Let’s wait and watch which movie will come out victorious at the box-office.
