‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ Sequel: Kartik Aaryan to step into Akshay Kumar’s shoes

Several reports claimed earlier that Bhushan Kumar had been considering Kartik Aaryan for the sequel of horror-comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ which starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles. The handsome hunk, Kartik Aaryan is surely on a roll after bagging a box-office success with his last release ‘Luka Chuppi’.

The actor is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’. Now, the actor has one more project in his baggage – the sequel of Akshay Kumar’s blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. A source was quoted as saying to Mumbai Mirror as, “While the makers have locked the idea, the script is still to be finalised. But the idea was shared with Kartik who liked it and has agreed to take the franchise forward with the story set in a metropolis.”

As Avni Chaturvedi, Vidya Balan had won a million hearts for her stunning performance in the original film – ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. While much has not been revealed about the leading lady in the sequel, the source also informed, “The director will be locked in a few days, following which they will decide on the leading lady and the rest of the cast. Bhushan always wanted to continue with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and is invested in the film. He expects to start filming by the end of the year.”
