Bhumi Pednekar’s brilliant reply on having 6 releases in the next 12 months

Bhumi Pednekar made an unusual debut with ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, immediately registering the fact that she is a force to reckon with as an actor. Bhumi came across as an artiste who is unafraid and willing to go the extra mile for a character she believes in. She has as many as 6 releases in the forthcoming 12 months. The actress spoke up about this rare moment while speaking to a section of the media.

Bhumi has 6 big films lined up in the next 12 months which in itself is no mean feat for a young female actor in such a highly competitive industry. ‘Bala’ is a social satire with Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ is a drama about dreams and aspirations of women alongside Konkona Sen Sharma. ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is a biopic which also stars Taapsee Pannu. ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ is a romantic comedy alongside Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. Last but not the least, the multi starrer Karan Johar magnum opus ‘Takht’. Apart from all these, she also features in an important role in an untitled horror film opposite Vicky Kaushal.

Bhumi’s versatility and appeal with filmmakers truly impresses her fans. It has been a while since Hindi cinema has had a leading lady with such diverse acting range and ability to tackle multiple roles. So how does she feel about so many films in her kitty?

“As an actor, I’m grateful that I have got the opportunity from such talented filmmakers to shine in their films. It is an honour and I’m truly overwhelmed to see my journey in cinema so far. I have always wanted to push my boundaries as an artiste and I’m thoroughly happy that such visionary filmmakers have chosen me and put their faith in me. It’s a great responsibility to deliver for them and bring the characters they have written to life,” Bhumi said. Nicely put, we must say!

Bhumi has been wowing fans with her stellar performances in films like ‘Lust Stories’, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Sonchiriya’. Her brilliance as an actor is the reason why she is the top choice of filmmakers today for roles that challenge any actor.
