Bhumi Pednekar tests COVID positive; says, “Please don’t take the current situation lightly”

Bhumi Pednekar is the latest Bollywood star to have contracted COVID-19. In her latest social media post, the Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress shared a series of checklists about her health status.

In a long note posted on Instagram on Monday, April 5, Bhumi wrote, “I HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, HL request you to please get tested immediately.”

Steam, Vit – C, Food and a Happy Mood are my go-to. Please don’t take the current situation lightly, even though i followed utmost precaution and care I’ve contracted it. Wear a mask, keep washing your hands, maintain social distancing and be mindful of your general behaviour,” she added.

The actor has been shooting for Badhaai Do, co-starring Rajkummar Rao . Bhumi has given some great films and impactful portrayals in her films including Dum Laga Ke Haisha (DLKH; 2015), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (TEPK; 2017), Sonchiriya (2019), and Saand Ki Aankh (2019). She has become an inspiration for millions of people for fitness. The actress has amazed us with her amazing body transformation.

Today morning, Bhumi’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha co-star Akshay Kumar informed fans that he’s been hospitalised following the coronavirus diagnosis. Taking to his Instagram account, Akshay wrote, “I’m doing fine but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care.” The actor also thanked his fans and followers for their warm wishes and prayers.

Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor are a few of the names who recently tested positive.
