Bhumi Pednekar launches The Bhumi Foundation aimed at protecting the environment

It is a non-profit advocacy platform that operates nationally to tackle issues related to the environment.

The platform will work towards funding climate change projects led by individuals and NGOs. It will produce climate-related podcasts and documentaries, support climate awareness events, and invest in eco-conscious startups. The platform aims at empowering organisations and climate conservationists to bring about real change and reduce the impact of pollution and carbon footprint in our country.

Expressing her enthusiasm for this new endeavor, Bhumi said, “I am happy to announce the launch of ‘The Bhumi Foundation’. This year, on my birthday, I started on the journey to conceptualise how I could aid the planet. And it brings me immense joy to launch ‘The Bhumi Foundation’ today. I hope to generate climate awareness across India through this foundation and hope to empower the right individuals and communities to bring about tangible change.”

She added, “With immense gratitude and love for the planet, through The Bhumi Foundation, we aim to channel our collective efforts, resources and passion in empowering those who have dedicated their lives to protect earth and our country. My vision for the platform is to bring together an army of climate conservationists and environmental advocates who share a common goal of conserving the environment and creating a more sustainable world. As I embark on this new journey, I invite everyone to join hands to protect earth.”

Bhumi Pednekar’s love and dedication towards conserving the environment has gained global recognition. The actor is the first National Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals for UNDP India. She is also the Goodwill Ambassador for Healing Himalayas. It is an NGO that keeps the mountain range clear and protects its ecosystem.
