Bhumi Pednekar tried hard to look sexy at the IFFI 2017, but failed miserably!

Right from Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt to starlet Jhanvi Kapoor, all the B-town divas showed up at their glamorous best at the recently held Indian International Film Festival (IFFI) 2017 in Goa. So, even Bhumi Pednekar probably thought of taking the dramatic route and stepped out in a seemingly edgy, flowy gown. For the closing extravaganza of the event, she chose this sultry, sculpted gown created by designer Gaurav Gupta and belonged to his Fall Winter collection. We were hoping for something less flashy sitting on her ears, but Bhumi opted for matching shoulder dusters from Purab Paschim that, in a way, crowded the neckline. Thank goodness, she gave her lips a nude shade, but opted for a thick eyeliner that we are not very impressed with. The gown also had some shimmery patches around the waist curve and a sheer back, which saved the outfit (well, almost) from looking too drab. She kept her hair down, but we think a messy bun would have looked better.

To be fair, we loved the earthy toned grey colour and the entire concept of having waves around the hips. Waist up she looked pretty, but the outfit looked too long for her. Also, the serpentine, wavy design was overdone and it almost looked like two snakes peeping out from behind. Trust us, take a closer look and you’ll know what we are talking about.

Overall, the outfit failed to complement her body type and we could have probably envisaged Sonam Kapoor or Deepika Padukone doing more justice to such an eccentric attempt.
