EXCLUSIVE: Bhumi Pednekar upset with makers of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Bala’?

After delivering four back-to-back commercial hits, Ayushmann Khurrana is gearing up for his upcoming release ‘Bala’. In the movie, he is playing the role of a young man who deals with signs of male pattern baldness. The movie stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar opposite Ayushmann.

Yami plays a beautiful TikTok artist who wants to become famous, whereas Bhumi will be seen for the third time alongside Ayushmann. She is playing the role of a dusky girl who challenges the beauty standards set by society.

The trailer of ‘Bala’ released a few days back and we have noticed that its only focus is on one person-Ayushmann. We learnt exclusively that there was a huge commotion after the trailer of ‘Bala’ was out. The insider informed us, “Bhumi literally lost her cool on the entire team. She was visibly upset with the trailer. They had planned an event to launch the trailer with Ayushmann, Bhumi and Yami. But Bhumi threw a fit after she was reduced to two talking scenes in the trailer. Even Yami didn’t get much screen space although she received better than Bhumi.”

The source further told us that Bhumi called up Dinesh Vijan, the producer and told him that she wouldn’t promote the film unless a separate promo was cut out only showcasing what her character stands for. “Bhumi personally strongly feels for the cause which challenges the beauty standards set by societal norms where only gori ladkiyan are considered beautiful. She felt her entire cause stood defeated as it has been reduced to merely 15 seconds in the whole promo,” shared the source.
