Bhumika Chawla reveals being replaced in Jab We Met and Munna Bhai MBBS

Actors getting replaced in films is quite a common phenomenon in the industry. And in a recent interview, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actress Bhumika Chawla revealed she how was replaced by Kareena Kapoor Khan in Jab We Met. That’s right! The Tere Naam actor signed Jab We Met where she was going to star opposite Bobby Deol.

Bhumika on getting replaced in Jab We Met…

Bhumika didn’t reveal the reason behind losing out on the movie but also stated that Jab We Met was earlier titled Train. “Ek hi baar mujhe bura laga tha, jab maine Jab We Met sign ki aur nahi hui (That’s the only time I’ve felt bad about losing a film). I was the first one, Bobby (Deol) and me, when it was called Train,” Bhumika said in a podcast with Siddharth Kannan.

Bhumika on losing Munna Bhai:

The Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actor also revealed about being replaced in Munna Bhai MMBS and a movie with Mani Ratnam. “Then, it was Shahid (Kapoor) and me, and then Shahid and Ayesha (Takia), and then Shahid and Kareena (Kapoor). That’s how things happened, but it’s okay. I only felt bad once and then never again because I just move on. I had signed Munna Bhai MBBS but it didn’t happen. Kannathil Muthamittal with Mani (Ratnam) sir didn’t happen,” Bhumika further added.

Earlier, Bobby Deol had expressed his disappointment with the way he was replaced in the Imtiaz Ali directorial venture. The actor told HuffPost how Kareena insisted on Shahid’s name for the role when they were dating back then. The Aashram actor said, “I was like, wow. Quite an industry… But I have no hard feelings against him.”

Meanwhile, Bhumika Chawla made a comeback in Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. She reunited with her Tere Naam co-star Salman Khan.
