Remember how a few days ago, we had reported that Amitabh Bachchan has seven films in his kitty? The megastar will be seen in ‘102 Not Out’, ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, ‘Dragon’, Nagraj Manjule’s next, Kabir Khan’s next, R Balki’s next and Shoojit Sircar’s next. And now, here’s his eighth film. Big B will be seen playing a pivotal role in trilingual ‘Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy’ which is a biopic on freedom fighter from Kurnool.
A source close to the film told a news agency, “Amitji is officially on board. He plays a pivotal role but nothing more can be said about his character at this moment.” The movie will have Chiranjeevi playing the lead role and Nayanthara has been roped in to play the female lead.
Talking about the rest of the cast, the source said, “Contrary to rumours, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is not part of the project. He wasn’t even approached in the first place. Kannada actor Sudeep is being considered but he is yet to officially sign on the dotted line.”
When asked if AR Rahman will compose music for the movie, the source said, “He is yet to sign the project. We have a few more options and we are still figuring out things.” (Also Read: Not one or two, Amitabh Bachchan has seven films lined up)
