Big B reveals he won’t be celebrating his birthday and Diwali this year

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to turn 75, this October 11. However, he won’t be celebrating his birthday this year. Not just his birthday, but this year Big B won’t be celebrating Diwali as well.

In a couple of tweets, he wrote, “India thrash Australia in T20, Pink Panthers’ extraordinary convincing win, thunderstorm cancels shoot, 30 million on Twitter, and just for your information… no Diwali celebration this year.”

Big B on his blog also wrote, “No, there is no celebration of any kind for the 75th and there’s no possibility of my presence here in the city. They speculate…They aver, they get to know from their ‘sources’, details which can be completely wrong at times… one wishes to be those sources – for we, never ever know who or what they are.”

While Big B has not given a reason why he won’t be celebrating his birthday and Diwali, one of the reasons can be that this is the first Diwali after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father passed away. (Also Read: Aamir Khan’s take on Amitabh Bachchan’s superstardom is totally correct)
