Bipasha Basu had once given up on marriage

Bipasha Basu is now happily married to her ‘Alone’ co-star Karan Singh Grover. The two recently tied the knot in a private ceremony and later threw a lavish reception ceremony for friends and colleagues. Post marriage, Bipasha looks absolutely happy and glowing. But did you know? There was a time when she had almost given up on the idea of marriage.

In a conversation with ‘Hi! Blitz’, Bipasha said that she couldn’t believe that she was going to be hitched. She had given up on marriage and when Karan proposed her for marriage, she asked him why he wanted to marry. She didn’t want their relationship to be spoilt by ‘societal pressure’.

Bipasha has been in a relationship with actor John Abraham for almost a decade and they looked inseparable. However, their relationship ended on a bitter note and they were never back to being even friends. John soon tied the knot with Priya Runchal while Bipasha took a long time to cope with the separation and find love again. It was on the sets of ‘Alone’ that cupid struck again. We believe it is her past experience of love which made her lose faith on marriage.

However, all is well that ends well..
