Bollywood is a huge fraternity and industry, where there are numerous reasons to celebrate. Be it any event or award ceremony, we expect the celebs to look their stylish best and put their best foot forward. And for that, our celebs obviously rely on their stylist for their outfits. While some of the celebs do manage to look their gorgeous best, sometimes they often end up wearing a similar dress that was once worn by some other celebrity. (Also Read:Â Oops! Did Deepika just repeat the heels she wore at Cannes 2017?)
And recently, Bipasha Basu committed a similar fashion crime during this year’s IIFA. The actress, who really made us crush over her stunning Mikado silk Mark Bumgarner gown at the Femina Miss India 2017 contest, disappointed us a lot with her IIFA 2017 style fiasco. The glittery body-hugging fish-tail gown never complimented Bipasha, plus made her fall in the category of the worst dressed celebrities.
What went wrong?
Now, here is some extra information on Bipasha’s outfit from IIFA 2017, where we think her stylist/designer didn’t do much of a homework before suggesting that dress to Bipasha.
Here’s the scoop!
The shining gown that was worn by Bipasha is from designer Gaurav Gupta’s Melt Fall Winter 2016 collection, which was also donned by Kangana Ranaut for the photo shoot of a fashion magazine’s October 2016 issue.
Verdict?
Believe us or not, the gown from Gaurav Gupta’s collection is priced approximately Rs. 200000! So, it means Bipasha paid a whopping amount of Rs 2 lakh for a dress which was not at all unique, and had also been worn earlier by another actress. Yikes!
Dear Bips, we love the hotness quotient that you bring on the red carpet. However, be more cautious, will you, next time?
