BLACKमेल : Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari to star in a quirky comedy

The very talented Irrfan Khan is not done with comedies yet. The actor who has been a part of comedy-drama ‘Hindi Medium’ and romantic comedy ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is geared up for another quirky comedy. He will be a part of Abhinay Deo’s upcoming movie titled ‘BLACKमेल’. The movie will star actress Kirti Kulhari opposite him. Produced by T-Series and RDP Motion Pictures, ‘BLACKमेल’ will be releasing on March 20, 2018. The makers made the announcement with a tweet that reads as, “From the director of Delhi Belly, comes another Quirky Comedy with @irrfank, @IamKirtiKulhari, ‘BLACKमेल’. Produced by T-Series and RDP Motion Pictures, this laugh riot by Abhinay Deo will release on 30 March 2018.”

Lead actor Irrfan Khan too tweeted a picture with the caption, “Abhinay Deo is back with another quirky comedy, me and @IamKirtiKulhari in ‘BLACKमेल’. Produced by T-Series and RDP Motion Pictures, the laugh riot will release on 30 March 2018” In the picture, Irfan is seen holding a penguin-shaped dustbin which has the caption, “Use Me”.

Director Abhinay Deo had last helmed the action movie ‘Force 2’ which starred John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha in it. Talking about Irrfan Khan’s upcoming movies, the actor will be seen in Anup Singh’s ‘Song of Scorpions’. Apart from this, he will be seen in a Bangla-Indo venture ‘Doob: Bed of Roses’ and a Hollywood movie ‘Puzzle’. (Also Read: Qarib Qarib Singlle: This is what got Irrfan Khan teary-eyed!)

The Hollywood movie is to be screened at the Sundance festival. Irrfan had shared the same in an official press statement by saying, “I am excited about the world premiere. This film is very close to my heart. When I read the script I knew there is something really unusual and beautiful about the story and the characters. It is a story of a woman named Agnes, taken for granted as a suburban mother, who discovers a passion for solving jigsaw puzzles which unexpectedly draws her into a new world – where her life unfolds in ways she could never have imagined. I am playing her new world. I have been grateful for the amazing opportunities that have come my way, but I really wanted to break away from the studio films for a bit and do something more intimate. I am glad that I took this chance.”
