Blackbuck Poaching Case verdict: Salman Khan to spend the night in Jodhpur Central Jail

Today, the Jodhpur trial court ruled out its verdict in 1998’s Blackbuck Poaching Case and convicted Salman Khan. However, other accused stars, namely Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were set free. The judgement was ruled out and Salman Khan was given a punishment of five years of jail term.

Post the verdict, Salman Khan was taken to Jodhpur Central Jail. He has applied for a bail in the Sessions Court, but as per reports, his bail plea would be heard only tomorrow. That means, he will have to spend the night in jail.

It took almost 20 years for the trial court to rule out the verdict in this case. It was during the shooting of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ that Salman Khan and others had gone on a hunting expedition post the wrap up at sets. A Blackbuck, an endangered species, was found killed and a case was filed against them.
