Blackbuck Poaching Case Verdict: Salman Khan’s lawyer issues a statement

After 20 years, finally the verdict of the infamous Blackbuck Poaching Case is out. The case which involved Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre, and Tabu, saw Salman being convicted today, while the others walked scot free after acquittal by the Jodhpur Court.

However, from the fresh picture that we have procured from the wide web of internet, doesn’t look like Salman is bothered at all. His body language clearly says the same, as he sits in a n uber relaxed pose in front of the officials who have brought him for the crime for which he has been convicted. Take a look.

Well, one would think that after all this maybe the star would bend a little. Looks like that ain’t going to happen.

Anyway, after Salman being sentenced to a five year jail term by the Jodhpur court, and being courted to the Jodhpur Central Jail, his lawyer has issued a statement which states though they respect the court’s decision, they will challenge it at higher levels.

Here it is.

Salman will reportedly be spending his night at the jail, while his bail hearing will take place tomorrow.

As far as the case goes, for those unaware, on one fine evening in 1998, post the wrap up of the shoot of their movie ‘Hum Saath – Saath Hain’, Salman, Saif, Sonali, Neelam and Tabu went for some hunting as a recreation, where they ended up killing the endangered specie of a blackbuck. And the case has been on since then.
