Abhinay Deo’s apt comedy ‘Delhi Belly’ was a wide success, both among critics and audience. Moving on, Deo is now set to try his hands for the second time, in the same genre.

As we wait for the ride to hit theatres, writer Parveez Shaikh took inspiration from a real life couple while writing the script. (Also Read: Irrfan Khan’s ‘Hindi Medium’ to have a sequel soon)
“The story is based on a couple I know. They live outside Mumbai. I decided to place these characters in a city I know best and see how the story progresses from there,”
Shaikh, who took three months to finish the story’s first draft, had penned his idea as long as six years back!
Irrfan, in the film, plays a husband who catches her wife on bed with his lover. How it unfolds after that is where the film’s attraction lies!
‘Blackmail’ is set to release on 6th April, 2018.
