‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ was the last time that we saw them together. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol are set to come back together with Shreyas Talpade’s ‘Poster Boys’. It is a story of three men who accidentally find their own pictures on a poster endorsing vasectomy.
The trailer, with apt comic timing, has garnered positive response from all corners. And if you were attentive enough, you might remember Bobby Deol speaking in pure Hindi. He went through an extensive preparation to attain the perfect vocabulary and pronunciation. (Also Read: Bobby Deol’s ‘Poster Boys’ to release this September)
Shreyas, along with writer Bunty Rathore, set a routine for Bobby wherein he would be reciting Gayatri Mantra after he woke up each morning. This would be followed by a session of reading Hindi newspaper. This went on for a fortnight almost. The results were commendable and we will get to witness that soon!
On the other hand, turning director has been a truly satisfying experience for Shreyas. I am a huge Hrishi-da (Hrishikesh Mukherjee) fan. I have always looked up to his films and work. Also, in my career, I have worked with varied directors, starting from Nagesh Kukunoor to Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty, and Shyam Benegal. So, I have tried and incorporated whatever I have learned from these great directors into my work, like Nagesh’s particularity in every aspect, Farah’s 70mm vision, Rohit’s knack for making family entertainers, and Shyam Babu’s freedom to express. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with people from different schools of filmmaking,” he says.
‘Poster Boys’ also stars Shreyas himself along with Sunny Deol in pivotal roles. It is set for theatrical release on September 8.
