Bollywood calling for Ankita Lokhande with Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Malang’?

Ankita Lokhande is a household name, thanks to her popular TV serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’, and even her relationship with ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. But, leaving the past behind, here’s a latest update for Ankita’s fans. Reports have been heard that the actress is all set to make her Bollywood debut with none other than actor Sanjay Dutt. Reportedly, she has been signed on for the actor’s upcoming film ‘Malang’.

A source has quoted to Mid-Day, “It appears her long wait to break into Bollywood has now ended. She will be seen playing a cop in ‘Malang’.” [sic] Before this film, apparently Ankita was rumoured to make her Bollywood debut with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, which obviously didn’t work out. Later, her name was heard during the casting of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ which also turned out to be a mere rumour.

Talking about the film ‘Malang’, it will reunite the team of ‘Bhoomi’ with actor Sanjay Dutt and producers Bhushan Kumar, Omung Kumar and Sandeep Singh working again. Unlike ‘Bhoomi’, this film will be directed by debutant Aarambhh​ Singh.

The film is a romantic thriller set in Varanasi and will go on floors in the month of December 2017.
