We are all set to witness a youth-centric flick titled ‘Call For Fun’ on the big screen on October 6, 2017. The movie is directorial debut of theatre veteran Janak Toprani, who himself got the idea of making the film when he received a promotional message, “Hi! I’m Rangili Riya! Are you lonely? Talk to me. Call me on … number!”
Janak’s Bollywood journey is all set to start and many Bollywood celebs have wished him all the best and have given their support to him.
Ronnie Screwvala stated, “I have known Janak from our theatre days and his talent and creative skills there and in the comedy genre am sure would translate well as he brings himself into the world of movie making.”
Filmmaker Harry Baweja said, “Janak is extremely talented, transitioning from theatre to cinema, he has all that it takes to deliver a fun filled film just like he has done so successfully on stage time and again!”
Veteran actor Prem Chopra is also all praises for the film. He said, “‘Call For Fun’ will be a great entertainer and super hit. It will be a refreshing change to see a film convey a social message through laughter and humour.”
‘Neerja’ director Ram Madhvani, who has been a part of Janak’s theatre group, stated, “I’ve been part of Janak’s theatre group called Creators many years ago in my formative years and he’s a gem, I wish him much success.” (Also Read: ‘Call For Fun’ is like a big-budget entertainer sans stars, says the director)
Actor Sharman Joshi said, “I have known Janak for many yea’rs now since I ventured into acting with theatre. He has an eye for detailing and every production of his has earned itself a top spot in the theatrical world. ‘Call For Fun’ will leave a mark in films too.
Actor-turned-filmmaker, Parmeet Sethi revealed that the movie was made in less than six months. He said, “‘Call For Fun’ is a film that every teen in this country needs to go and watch and learn from. Full marks for Janak’s direction and vision and putting the entire project together in less than 6 months.”
Well, industry veterans can’t stop gushing about the film and the director, so now we are also quite keen on watching the film.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
