Bombay Talkies 2: Karan Johar kickstarts shooting for the movie

Filmmaker Karan Johar has finally started shooting for ‘Bombay Talkies 2’. He announced the news by sharing a picture of a clapboard. He wrote, “#bombaytalkies2 begins! @vickykaushal09 @Advani_Kiara @NehaDhupia @RonnieScrewvala @ashidua_fue”

The first part ‘Bombay Talkies’ had released in the year 2013 and was an anthology of four short movies helmed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar. Karan Johar’s movie was titled ‘Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh’ and starred Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda and Saqib Saleem. Dibakar Banerjee’s movie was named ‘Star’ which was an adaptation of Satyajit Ray’s short story ‘Patol Babu, Film Star’. It featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui in it. Zoya Akhtar’s movie was called ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’ and featured child artist Naman Jain in the lead role. Katrina Kaif had a cameo in this story. And finally, Anurag Kashyap’s movie was named ‘Murabba’ which starred Vineet Kumar Singh and a cameo by Amitabh Bachchan. (Also Read: Karan Johar APOLOGISES for objectifying women in his films)

Other actors who did special appearance in the movie were Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. The movie boasted of such huge cameos so let’s see if the second instalment too has cameos by various actors.
