Breaking – Jiah’s mother to contest abetment to suicide charges against Sooraj Pancholi

The Mumbai Police today charged actor Sooraj Pancholi with abetment to suicide in a charge-sheet filed in Jiah Khan case last week, Jiah’s mother Rabiya Khan has said that she will be contesting the charges.   Rabiya said, “We will be contesting the charges mentioned in the charge-sheet as I believe my daughter has been murdered and it is not a case of suicide.”  Jiah Khan was found hanging from the ceiling at her Juhu residence on June 3 last year. While the police have been treating the death as a case of suicide, the actor’s mother has all along insisted that she was murdered.

After Jiah’s death, her mother had handed over a six-page letter reportedly written by Jiah before her death. The letter showed the tumultuous nature of relationship between Jiah and her boyfriend Sooraj, son of actor Aditya Pancholi as per The police had arrested Sooraj under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code on June 10. He was subsequently granted bail by the Bombay high court.

In October Jiah’s mother Rabiya filed a petition in Bombay high court alleging that Jiah might have been killed but thehe police did not find anything incriminating and ruled out Rabia’s contention .Today Sooraj Pancholi was charged with abetment of Jiah”s suicide the hearing will be held in February 12.
