Writer Harinder Sikka, in a recent interview with Republic TV, has accused Meghna Gulzar of not giving him credit at many events (Harinder Sikka is the writer of ‘Calling Sehmat’ based on which ‘Raazi’ was made).
Harinder has accused Meghna Gulzar of removing his name from everything at the Jaipur Literature Festival. He even said that she didn’t allow him to launch his book. He also quoted a few words by the head of Jaipur Literature Festival, who said that he was ‘bulldozed’ into removing a person. Harinder Singh also said that his book was delayed because of Meghna. He was supposed to get an award for the best ‘original story’ but ‘Andhadhun’ bagged the award which, according to Sikka, is a copy of a French book. He also made a shocking revelation that Meghna stole the credits of the Delhi-based lawyer for ‘Chhapaak’. Harinder said that it happened with him because he is an outsider.
Now this is indeed SHOCKING if true as I always believed #MeghnaGulzar is one of the finest Director & A sorted human being! If @sikka_harinder’s claim to be believed there was an injustice to him during #Raazi as he was an outsider. He has pointed out on #BollywoodLobby as well? pic.twitter.com/vUrm0Ek05o

Earlier, in an old interview with News18, Harinder said, “I had promised Gulzar that I will take Meghna as director. I also asked for Alia Bhatt as the lead actor. I objected to the screenplay too. I wasn’t invited to the pre-release screening of the film. I learnt about the event after the film’s release. I received a message from Alia asking how did I like the film? She is a sweet girl and this film wouldn’t have been a hit without her. Sehmat went into depression much later but the makers ended the film there. It changed the fabric of the story. This leftist approach killed it.”
Let’s see how Meghna Gulzar reacts to the fresh allegations of Harinder Singh Sikka.
