Farhan Akhtar will be seen donning a UP guy’s character for the first time, in his upcoming release ‘Lucknow Central’. He is working hard to get the nuances of his character right, and is also spending considerable amount of time to look and sound as authentic as possible.
One crucial part of the process was getting his attires right. Named Kishen Mohan Girhotra, an aspiring singer from Moradabad, Farhan’s character is that of a down-to-earth person with strong ambitions. Hence, the dress up required to be like the guy-next-door, while keeping in mind the local trends.
All of his clothes were picked from flea market and local street shops; in fact, sources inform that some of them cost even less than a hundred bucks! The entire range of clothing used throughout the film didn’t cost the makers anything more than Rs 5000. His entire ‘Lucknow Central’ wardrobe doesn’t include a signal branded cloth. Given how filmmakers often spend whopping amounts on costumes, this is surely something out-of-the-box.
Also starring Gippy Grewal, Ronit Roy, Deepak Dobriyal, Diana Penty among others, the film is set to release on September 15.
