‘Captain Marvel’ fame makeup artist comes on board for Kangana Ranaut starrer Jayalalithaa biopic

Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s biopic. It is titled as ‘Thalaivi’. Kangana is prepping for the character of the former CM and has been taking Tamil and dance lessons from experts since April. She is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin of Jayalalithaa.

Popular South producer, Vishnu Induri is backing the project. Today he has shared the news that Kangana will sport four different looks in the biopic. Taking to his Twitter handle, he tweeted, “ThalaiviUpdate: Kangana has four looks spanning different ages in the film and we have roped in Hollywood Makeup artist Jason Collins for Kangana’s makeover.”

For the unversed, makeup artist Jason Collins had earlier done prosthetic makeup in many Hollywood films like ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Hunger Games’ and ‘Blade Runner’ among others.

Mumbai Mirror’s report stated that the makers couldn’t gather enough funds for the project for which the shooting is getting delayed. The producer rubbishing the rumours told ET Times that he is disheartened to see baseless rumours being spread without verifying. “The pre-production is in full swing and the team is in Mysore for the recce and as planned earlier the shoot will start post-Diwali. Kangana has four looks spanning different ages in the film and we need a good amount of pre-production for that. We have roped in Hollywood Make up artists for Kangana’s makeover,” said the producer.
