Case against Amitabh Bachchan for insulting the Tricolour

A case has been filed against Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan in a Ghaziabad court. The complaint states that the father son duo were seen covering their bodies with the national flag in a manner insulting to the nation. This happened during a match being played between India and Pakistan.

As per sources, Complainant Chetan Dhiman in his complaint before the judicial magistrate’s court said the actors were seen with the national flag during the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket match in Adelaide Feb. 15.

Sources further added that, Chetan Dhiman’s lawyer, Sanjeev Sharma, said the complainant and five of his friends saw Amitabh Bachchan wearing the national flag in an insulting manner. They added that the internationally acclaimed cinema-star and his son actor Abhishek Bachchan have degraded India’s reputation with this act.

Chetan Dhiman’s lawyer, Sanjeev Sharma said, this act was covered under The Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act (1971) and the Flag Code of India (2002) and both should be summoned before the court to face trial.
