Case filed against singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya for abusing woman

B-town has several celebs who are controversy’s favourite child and singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya happens to be one of them. A case has been filed against the singer in Amboli Police station for outraging the modesty of a woman.

Talking about the case, a police officer told Hindustan Times, “The woman had an argument with the singer over some drilling work being done in the society. She claims that she was abused by him. We have registered a case and will be investigating the case further.” 

While Abhijeet said that the woman was threatening him, as he told the daily, “The woman has been threatening me and others to extort money. I have given a commercial place on rent. My tenants were getting some work done, and she objected to it. Being the owner of the place, I intervened in it.”

The Police are further investigating the matter and is yet to contact the singer about it.

Abhijeet has always managed to land himself in trouble by giving a controversial statement on several issues. Previously too, the singer was booked for abusing a woman journalist. Abhijeet had even shocked the netizens when he had lent his support for Salman Khan in the hit-and-run case by saying footpaths are not meant for sleeping.
