A case has been registered against Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra‘s brother Siddharth, for making hookahs available near his lounge, which is a ‘no-smoking zone’. Mr. Chopra owns the pub ‘The Mugshot Lounge’ in the upmarket Koregaon Park area in Pune. Recently, the crime branch of city police raided the lounge, and filed a complained against Siddharth Ashok Chopra for allegedly serving hookah with tobacco mixed products at the hotel.
Sources revealed, “The police seized 18 hookah pots and flavoured tobacco and subsequently served notices on 16 persons under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) for smoking at an unauthorised area. Police have booked Chopra along with the hotel manager Prakash Tulcharam Choudhary (24), resident of Yeshwant Vihar, Katraj-Kondhwa Road, under sections of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition Of advertisement And Regulation Of Trade And Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003.”
Sources added, “The police took action after they learnt that some people from high-class society have been indulging in tobacco mixed products with hookah at The Mugshot Lounge. Therefore a crime branch team raided the spot on Wednesday night and seized tobacco mixed products worth Rs 26,000 that were served with hookah.”
Priyanka Chopra, who was in India for a couple of days, is back in the States, for the shoot of the next season of ‘Quantico’.
