On Tuesday afternoon the movie was given this certificate with not a single audio or visual cut.

A source from the Central Board of Film Certification told an entertainment web portal, “We didn’t even have to weigh any pros and cons. We were unanimous in our decision that it should get a ‘U’ certificate without cut. ‘Dangal’ is about the empowerment of the girl child. Not only do we feel it should be seen by every man, woman and child we also feel it should be granted tax exemption so that more people would be able to watch it.” [sic]

Isn’t that a great news?

‘Dangal’ is a biopic based on wrestling coach Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir) who trained his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari in this sport.

Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen portraying Geeta Phogat while Babita Kumari is played by actress Sanya Malhotra. The film also stars Sakshi Tanwar as the on-screen wife of Aamir Khan.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it is slated to hit the silver screens on December 23, 2016.
