Raveena Tandon‘s comeback vehicle ‘Maatr’ has been making headlines without a break, for the past days. With a super strong storyline, it surely moved us. But at the same time, reports stated that the CBFC officials were not quite okay with a number of scenes.
Just yesterday, we reported how a number of CBFC officials allegedly walked out of a screening since they felt the film differed to a large extent from what they were told earlier. Rumours of the board putting a ban on the film also started doing rounds on internet.
However, Anurag Srivastava, CEO of CBFC, dismissed any ban on ‘Maatr’. (Also Read: Raveena Tandon: Motherhood has enhanced my choices)
“The screening of the movie ‘Maatr’ for CBFC was done on Saturday evening and at the moment there is no screening of ‘Maatr’ again. Ban on the movie is false, as the examination committee is still in process and the result will be conveyed in a day or two,” he told a news agency.
However, we hear a number of rape sequences with gruesome violence turned them off!
Directed by Asthar Sayed, ‘Maatr’ releases on April 21st.
