After PM Modi declared a 21-day pan-India lockdown, there was panic buying all across the countries. The government has assured everyone that essential services like groceries, milk, medical supplies, and banks will remain open. Public has been asked to stay at home unless and until it is important to step out. Police are monitoring and doing their duty but a few videos have been doing the rounds where we see police brutally beating people to enforce the lockdown. They have been beating vegetable vendors to rickshaw pullers to men going to buy milk and other stuff.
These acts of the police are condemned by the public and also Bollywood celebs. Celebs like Anurag Kashyap, Richa Chadha, and Kritika Kamra among others have called out the police for such brutality.
Somewhere in UP, Police made a few migrants crawl. Anurag Kashyap called this act ‘horrible’.

https://t.co/ryNw1xAzAX

Here’s Kritika Kamra’s tweet.
Many videos of police brutality on the internet.Gross abuse of power.A man today has lost his life because he was beaten! It is appalling that in these dire times, people don’t just need to save themselves from a deadly disease but also the local cops & violent vigilantes. #Shame
