Some days back, actor Ameesha Patel reacted to Bipasha Basu’s criticism of her appearance. Earlier, Basu had said that Ameesha looked ‘too petite, too small to carry, her whole frame is wrong’ for the role in Jism. Well, Ameesha took it sportingly and agreed with her. Now, actor Celina Jaitly opened up about facing rejection and criticism during the initial days of her career. Celina was being told that she is too white, too tall or not tall enough.
Recently, Celina Jaitly took to her Instagram account and dropped a video of her pageant days. She penned a long note saying that she entered the fashion industry at the age of 15. She wrote, “I also suffered from severe acne and very severe endometriosis and had to be hospitalised almost every month during my Menstruation due to severe dysmenorrhea and blood loss.“
Celina Jaitly on facing criticism
Celina spoke about the criticism of her appearance. “Many a time I wouldn’t even end up getting paid for my hard work and unauthorised use of images due to lack of industry regulations. Then there was the constant criticism and rejection either I was too white, too thin, not tall enough or too tall etc. For many years I had to hear many derogatory things about all the things that made me unique and go on despite that. For a child in her teens it was truly overwhelming hence the journey to the crown was a very intense one.”

The difference between the right word and the almost right word is more than just a fine line! it’s like the difference between a lightning bug and the lightning!
