Actress Celina Jaitly’s mother Meeta Jaitly passed away on June 8, following her battle with cancer in Lucknow. This tragedy struck 11 months after the actress lost her father Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly. She took to her social media handle and wrote an emotional message. In the message, Celina also thanked all those who stood by her after her mother passed away.

The ‘No Entry’ actor had earlier shared an emotional message on her Facebook handle, “A thousand tears could not bring you back, I know, because I cried. Our most beloved, gorgeous and stunning mother, Meeta Jaitly left us yesterday on the 8th of June 2018 (Lucknow) to join her soulmate and beloved husband Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly just 11 months after his tragic and untimely demise.”(Also Read: Celina Jaitly’s third son makes his social media debut, the actress shares first picture)
Celina Jaitly further added, “A brave army wife, a professor of literature, an entrepreneur, former beauty queen and most beloved grandmother. She fought a case of a serious form of galloping cancer bravely until her last breath like a true infantry wife before succumbing to the disease in our arms yesterday.”

The actress who was in Lucknow for the last rites of her mother will soon be leaving for Dubai where she resides with her husband and children Winston and Viraaj and a year old son, Arthur. She was last seen in ‘Will You Marry Me’ which released in 2012. The film had doomed at the box office.
