Censor troubles for Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Befikre’?

A number of cult romantic Bollywood films can be credited to Yash Raj Films. However, ‘Befikre’ helmed by Aditya Chopra is quite a shift in terms of the type of romance YRF always dealt with. While the trailer (and the film too, probably) is all about love without any ‘fikar’, many are smelling CBFC troubles are already!

‘Labon ka karobaar’, a track from the film, features a number of passionate lip-locks. For those who came late, ‘Befikre’ is also the Bollywood film to have shown the highest number of kisses so far. Given how CBFC went all sanskari even with James Bond kissing, we wonder if they will spare Ranveer and Vaani from their scissors!

However, CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani says the film hasn’t come to them yet. “The song ‘Labon ka karobaar’ has not come to us. It is out on the internet and therefore falls outside our purview. As for the kisses in ‘Befikre’, they have to be seen within the film’s context. As far as I know, ‘Befikre’ is set in Paris, the city of love where public affection is normal. However as I said, we will look at the film and its content when it comes to us,” he stated.
