Chandan Roy Sanyal on Rhea Chakraborty’s media trial: Today it’s her, tomorrow it could be anyone

Rhea Chakraborty has become the victim of a despicable media lynching. The primetime shows of the news channels are leaving no stone unturned to pronounce Rhea as ‘guilty’ in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are currently probing the death case of Sushant. But the unrelenting coverage by news channels has already made Rhea a villain and all the shows are nothing less than a ‘circus’.

The media trial of Rhea has been condemned by many Bollywood and TV celebs. Celebs like Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor and others have come in support of Rhea and sought justice for the actress. Chandan Roy Sanyal who was recently seen in ‘Ashram’ also expressed his opinion on the media trial of Rhea.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Chandan said, “Jo ho raha hain accha nahi ho raha hain. There is a side to Rhea and there are people who are against Rhea. Koi agar Rhea ke liye kuch bolta hain toh jo unke khilaaf hain woh bolne lagte hain. Ye media trial kisike saath bhi ho sakta hain. Aaj Rhea hain toh kaal koi aur bhi ho sakta hain. Ek constitution ke hisaab se ek judiciary hoti hain, ek law hota hain, ek lawkeeper hota hain aur hume lene dena nahi rakhna chahiye ismein. Humne judiciary banaya hain isi liye ki judge, lawyers, police aapna kaam kare. Woh dakhal andaazi bohot ho rahi hain. Ye humare samajh ke liye bhi accha nahi hain.”

He added, “Right now we should be worried about Covid-19 situation, economy, joblessness, health, education, and infrastructure.”
