Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui: Ayushmann Khurrana reveals the release date; drops a hot shirtless pic

Our very own Hindi film industry is getting back on it’s feet, as we get to know more big budget Hindi films are all set for a theatrical release. The latest one to get a release date is Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The film is set for a theatrical release on 9th July 2021. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Pragya Kapoor’s Guy In the Sky Pictures.

The modern love story directed by ace director Abhishek Kapoor had become one of the first mainstream Hindi films to wrap under two months in the pandemic. The shoot was wrapped up in 48 days, managing with all the covid protocols and restrictions it is indeed a commendable job.

Chandigarh is also Ayushmann’s home town, last year when he was shooting for the film he also had a great family time with his parents and brother Aparshakti. The Andhadhun actor took his social media handle to announce the release date of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. He unveiled the release date of his film along with a shirtless picture of himself.

The photograph shows Khurrana showing off his beefed up body while holding a clapperboard in his hand which has the release date of the film written on it. Sharing it on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Yeh sirf release date ki announcement hai. Trailer bhi baaki hai aur picture bhi. (this is just the release date announcement, the trailer is yet to come) #ChandigarhKareAashiqui in cinemas 9th July, 2021! (sic).”

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the romantic-drama Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui features Vaani Kapoor opposite Ayushmann. Defined as a “progressive love story”, AK will be seen essaying the role of a cross functional athlete in the film. After Ayushmann’s post on social media, his wife Tahira Kashyap commented “Uff” with a fire emoji. But the most hilarious comment is from Varun Dhawan as he wrote, “Sir sir sir sir hum shareef kya hui puri duniyaan ne t shirt nikal diye. Looking good brother man.”

Vaani also shared a picture from the film’s shoot on Twitter and wrote, “Sugar, spice, and everything nice. Get ready to fall in love #ChandigarhKareAashiqui is all set for a theatrical release on 9th July 2021!”

Ayushmann is currently working on Anek, which reunites him with his Article 15 director Anubhav Sinha.
