Chandro Tomar passes away due to COVID; Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar condole the death of Shooter Dadi

Shooter Dadi Chandro Tomar passed away today due to Covid-19. She was 89. She had been admitted to a hospital in Meerut earlier this week due to difficulty in breathing. The tweet on her Twitter handle read that Dadi Chandro Tomar has tested positive for coronavirus and she has been admitted to a hospital due to breathing problem.

Today, she has breathed her last and condolences messages are pouring in for the legendary shooter. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu have mourned the death of Chandro Tomar on Twitter. For the unversed, their movie Saand Ki Aankh was based on the lives of sisters-in-law Chandro and Prakashi Tomar who were champions in shooting and won multiple medals.

Bhumi is “devastated” by the news of her demise. She tweeted, “Feels like a part of me is gone. She made her own rules & paved the path for many girl to find their dream. Her legacy will live on in them. Condolences to the family. Am lucky I got to know and be her Folded hands#ChandroTomar #ShooterDadi”.
