In 2013, Rakesh Roshan had directed ‘Krrish 3’ which starred Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. Well, the movie was a blockbuster, and now after nearly four years of its release, Uttarakhand police has filed a chargesheet against the filmmaker and accusing him of plagiarising portions of a story written by a city-based man and using it in his film.
The author’s lawyer, Sunil Kumar stated that the chargesheet was filed yesterday in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Vivek Diwedi by sub-inspector Subodh Kumar.
In May last year, an FIR was filed at at Dalanwala police station, in which the filmmaker was reportedly accused for copying portions from local writer Roopnanarayn Sonkar’s novel ‘Sooardan’. (Also Read: Rakesh Roshan completes 50 years in the industry, Hrithik Roshan posts a message on Twitter)
Well, reportedly the chargesheet claims that there’s enough of evidence against Roshan for violation of Section 63 of the Copyright Act. It has urged the court to send summons to the filmmaker and take action against him if he does not respond to it.
