Check out: The official logo of Sonam Kapoor’s next biographical movie ‘Neerja’

Sonam Kapoor is currently receiving many accolades for her portrayal of Princess Maithili in ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.’ With so much praise coming in, she is ready with her next film which is a biopic of air-hostess Neerja Bhanot titled ‘Neerja.’

Sonam Kapoor who is playing the titular role took to her twitter posting the first official logo of her upcoming film.

The first theatrical trailer of the film is set to release on Thursday.

Neerja Bhanot was a senior flight attendant who saved 360 lives on Pan Am flight, when it was hijacked in Karachi in 1986. And at the age of mere 23 years, she also became the youngest and first woman recipient of the prestigious Ashok Chakra award.

The film ‘Neerja’ is helmed by Ram Madhvani. The film also stars veteran Shabana Azmi playing the role of Rama Bhanot, mother of Neerja. Shekhar Ravjiani popularly known with his duo partner Vishal Dadlani for composing music and singing as Vishal- Shekhar is also playing an important role in the film.

The film is slated to release next year on February 19, 2016.
