‘Chhapaak’: Deepika Padukone consoles an emotional Laxmi Agarwal at the song launch 

Deepika Padukone and the star cast of the upcoming film, ‘Chhapaak’ have released an emotional title track in Mumbai on Friday. While the original song crooned by Arijit Singh’s made us emotional, the musical trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy made everyone teary-eyed at the song launch event. Thus we saw Deepika Padukone console an immensely emotional Laxmi Agarwal.

The acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal was also present at the launch of the ‘Chhapaak’ title track. In one of the viral videos, Laxmi can be seen getting emotional, as Shankar Mahadevan sings the heartfelt lines from the title track in front of a huge audience. The video surely makes us emotional too. Ever since Deepika Padukone has kick-started promoting the upcoming flick, the actress was caught getting emotional speaking about acid attack survivors.

Talking about the film, ‘Chhapaak’ is being helmed by Meghna Gulzar and it is co-produced by Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar. With this film, Deepika will be marking her come back on the silver screen after getting hitched to Ranveer Singh. The actress has been quite excited for the release of the film, as she wants to narrate an emotional story of Laxmi Agarwal, through her acting skills. The film is slated to hit the big screens on January 10.
