Deepika Padukone got emotional at the trailer launch of her highly anticipated film ‘Chhapaak’. The pretty actress couldn’t stop herself from crying while talking about her role in the film, which is based on the life story of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.
At the trailer launch, while talking about the movie, Deepika couldn’t hold back her tears as she shared, “I can’t speak for everyone.. You can’t shy away from the fact that films have an impact on society, but what you make out of that is an individual’s choice.”
‘Chhapaak’ is very close to both filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and Deepika’s heart. The actress got so attached to the film’s moving tale that she decided to produce it herself.

Director Meghna also revealed that Deepika had not seen the whole trailer before hence it all became very overwhelming for her.
‘Chhapaak’ will showcase the trauma and triumph of an acid attack survivor. If you have seen the trailer of this film, you will understand why this topic is sensitive and the film so special for its makers.
