Chhichhore actress Abhilasha Patil succumbs to COVID

The second wave of Coronavirus has claimed several lives. After Bikramjeet Kanwarpal and Shravan Rathod, the virus has claimed one more artiste’s life. Hindi and Marathi film actress Abhilasha Patil succumbed to the deadly Coronavirus.

Abhilasha has featured in series and films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Good Newwz, Malaal and Chhichhore to name a few. As per a report in Cinestaan, Abhilasha had visited Benaras for a shoot. She returned to Mumbai a few days ago after she developed Covid symptoms. The Chhichhore was admitted to the hospital after her test results came positive. She was later shifted to ICU.

Abhilasha’s sudden demise came as a huge shock to her fans and followers. She is survived by her mother and son. Apart from Hindi films, Abhilasha featured in popular Marathi films like Tujha Manjha Arrange, Bayko Deta Ka Bayko, Pipsi and Prawaas to name a few.

Mourning Abhilasha’s death, her Prawaas costar Shashank wrote, “Abhilasha Patil, very hard working and energetic co-artist.. We worked together in PRAWAAS. Don’t have words to express. RIP Abhilasha Ji (sic).”

We extend our deepest condolences to Abhilasha’s family and friends. May her soul rest in peace.
