Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari received the Best Hindi Film award at the 67th National Film Awards 2021 for his film Chhichore starring late Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin and more. Having said that, the producer of the film, Sajid Nadiadwala took to his production house’s Instagram account shared a heartfelt post that made everyone a little teary-eyed. Sajid dedicated his national award win to Sushant Singh Rajput and this gesture was embraced and lauded by the late actor’s fans who showered him with massive appreciation and gratitude.
Nadiadwala and Grandson took to social media to share the words and feelings of Sajid Nadiadwala as they wrote,”A Moment of Pride for all of us at NGE today as we’ve received the prestigious National Award for #Chhichhore! Thank you @niteshtiwari22 for this special movie! We’re really grateful for all the love & dedicate this award to #SushantSinghRajput #SajidNadiadwala”
The film which was backed by an ensemble star cast received five nominations at the 65th Filmfare Awards –Best Film, Best Director for Tiwari, Best Story, Best Dialogue and Best Editing. Chhichorescored high on many accounts and apart from the great performances, also resonated with Indian families as it highlighted that the journey is far more important than the destination and that losing is as critical a life lesson as winning.

On receiving the 67th National Film Award for Best Hindi film, director Nitesh also remembered the late actor and dedicated the award to him. As per a report in ANI, Tiwari and Nadiadwala said, “Sushant is an integral part of our film. He made us proud. We are dedicating this award to him.”
Apart from Chhichhore, actor Kangana Ranaut bagged the Best Actress award for her film Panga and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush are sharing their National award win as they bagged the Best Actor award for Bhonsle and Asuran respectively. South superstar Vijay Sethupathi won the Best Supporting Actor award for Super Deluxe at the 67th National Film Awards 2021.
