Chunky Panday on Ananya Panday being trolled for her sheer dress: She can wear anything without looking vulgar

Recently, Ananya Panday stole the spotlight at Dharma Productions CEO, Apoorva Mehta’s star-studded birthday bash, hosted by Karan Johar in Mumbai. The Pati Patni Aur Woh actress made heads turn with this jaw-dropping fashion moment. She chose a black see-through embellished, shimmering ensemble which was from the luxury fashion brand, Aadnevik. However, the actress was trolled for her outfit.

Now, Ananya’s father-actor Chunky Panday reacted to netizens slamming her daughter for donning the sheer outfit. The actor told Hindustan Times that his daughter is in the showbiz world and needs to look glamorous. “We, as parents, have never told her what to wear and what not to. We brought up both of our daughters quite well and they are very sensible. Ananya is in the show business today, and she needs to look glamorous. She should put her best foot forward and dress up,” said the 59-year-old actor.

Further, the Housefull actor also stated that his daughters (Ananya and Rysa) can wear anything they want. “One thing I know for sure about my girls is that there’s a certain kind of innocence in them. I’m sure they can wear anything and carry them off without looking vulgar,” added Panday.

Chunky also shares that he tells Ananya to not get bothered by the trolls and the best way to deal with them is to laugh over their comments and she should not let these things bother her. “I tell Ananya, ‘At least people are discussing you, be it good or bad’”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya will be seen next in Liger with Vijay Deverakonda and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.
