Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday had headlined the 2022 film Liger. Despite the hype around the film, Liger bombed at the box office. The film also starred Chunky Panday in supporting role. Three years after the release of film, Chunky Panday reveals how Ananya was initially uncomfortable to do Liger for THIS reason.
Chunky Panday on Ananya being uncomfortable to do Liger
In a recent chat with Mashable, the Housefull actor said, “When she asked me if she should do this film… she was thinking that she was too young for it. She said, ‘Papa, I am too young to do this.’ I said you do this; it’s a commercial, a big film but maybe she was right. She was too young to do it,” he said, adding, “She was uncomfortable. She said maybe, I am too young for this. She was confused then.”
Chunky Panday said that after Liger’s disastrous performance, Chunky has not influenced Ananya’s decisions when it comes to films. “From that day on, I never put any pressure on her. Maybe I was wrong. I am old school. I don’t know anything else. He said that if she had asked him about Call Me Bae, he’d have advised her against it. He added, “If she had asked me ‘Papa, should I do Bae?’ I would have said no,” he said.
