Citadel: Saqib Salim joins Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Indian version?

American series Citadel will soon have an Indian version featuring actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The Russo Brothers’s Citadel is being helmed by filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. As per latest reports there is a new addition to the cast. Actor Saqib Saleem will be joing Varun and Samantha.

As per Pinkvilla reports Saqib Saleem has joined the cast of ‘Citadel’ and has also started his prep for the same.

As reported by sources to Pinkvilla, “Saqib came onboard recently, and plays a very important role in the show. He has started prepping for his part too. Raj and DK are expecting to start shooting from the second half of November.”

Sources added, “While they will begin filming in Mumbai, the show will also be shot in a few nations abroad. The filmmakers are in the process of finalising these locations, while they are also locking actors for other pivotal roles in Citadel.” informs a source close to the development.”

The American version of ‘Citadel’ features Priyanka Chopra in the leading role.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan and Saqib have earlier worked together for action dhamaka Dishoom. Varun who was recently seen in blockbuster hit Jug Jugg Jeeyo will next be seen in Bhediya. The movie has Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Varun also has Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor

Saqib Saleem has recently turned producer with his sister Huma Qureshi and Mudassar Aziz. The first film under their production house ‘Elemen 3’ is Double XL. The movie has Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi and Zaheer Iqbal in leading roles.

Samantha on the other hand also has Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam and in Hari–Harish’s Yashoda. She will also be seen with Vicky Kaushal in Aditya Dhar’s The Immortal Ashwatthama.
