With a nationwide protest going on against the film ‘Padmavati‘, the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus seems to be in trouble. Karni Sena has been calling for a ban on this film and are aggressively protesting against the same. With this, rumours were making the rounds that apparently the makers are contemplating to change the release date of the film. But now, the makers have confirmed that there is no change in the release date.
Ajit Andhare, the Chief Operating Officer of Viacom18 Motion Pictures took to Twitter to rubbish all the rumours. “Rumours of postponement of Padmavati are baseless @FilmPadmavati,” is what he tweeted.

This means that the film is slated to release on December 1.
Apart from this, another development on this film has come out that the Censor Board has sent back the film to the makers without giving it a certification. A few reports state that this was done because of some technical errors, while some reported that the makers provided incomplete documents.
We await for an official clarification from the Censor Board.
