CONFIRMED: Rajkummar Rao roped in for Dinesh Vijan’s next

After basking in the success of ‘Stree’, producer Dinesh Vijan is all set to back yet another horror comedy and that too with Rajkummar Rao. Horror comedy is a less explored genre in Bollywood and Dinesh has taken Bollywood to another level with this concept.

‘Stree’ got a good response from the audiences as well as critics and it became a commercial hit at the box office. It entered the 100 crore club and it was Rajkummar’s first movie to enter the club. He has wrapped up the shoot of Dinesh’s ‘Made In China’ opposite Mouni Roy and now, the producer is gearing up for his third project with Rajkummar. This news has been confirmed by Dinesh himself to Mumbai Mirror.

Dinesh said, “Yes, Raj and I are back and I couldn’t be happier as he’s one of the most talented actors we have today. He springs a surprise with every film and this one will be no different. He plays a small-time goon whose plans go haywire when he discovers that he might be in store for some supernatural encounters. You can be sure he will be as riveting as ‘Stree’s ladies’ tailor, chasing after a ghost.”

Dinesh also said that actor Varun Sharma will play a comic character. “I was waiting to offer him another role that would bring the laughs,” added Dinesh. He also said that he will announce the name of the leading lady once he returns from his vacation. He said that the female lead will have an important role in the movie.

Towards the end of the movie ‘Stree’, we get a hint that a sequel is on cards. Now, as Dinesh has confirmed his next as a horror comedy with Rajkummar, it might be the second installment of ‘Stree’.
