Salman Khan has been the launch pad for many young talents in Bollywood. From Daisy Shah and Sonakshi Sinha to Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain, Salman is known for launching new faces. Now, the ‘Dabaang’ actor will be launching Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Ashwami. Salman shares a good camaraderie with Mahesh and both have appeared in movies like ‘Ready’, ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Wanted’ and others.
The ‘Kaante’ actor confirmed this news to Mumbai Mirror. He said, “Yes, Salman is launching my daughter. It will happen at some time. We’ll cross the bridge when we get to it.”
Talking about Salman, the 52-year-old actor said, “Salman is the most rooted person I have come across, a complete middle class-man in his head.”
Manjrekar also spoke about the remake of Marathi film ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho’, which was to be produced by Salman Khan and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Talking about the movie, he said, “For the lead, Salman wanted Govinda, who had apprehensions about the role, so things didn’t work out.”
Recently, Salman announced the launch of Monish Bahl’s daughter Pranutan and newcomer Zaheer Iqbal in his upcoming film ‘Notebook’. This year, Salman launched his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain in ‘LoveYatri’. Also, he will be launching his ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ co-star Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dasani.
On the work front, Salman will be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ that is slated to release next year. Also, he has ‘Dabangg 3’ in the pipeline.
