Confirmed – Shahid Kapoor approached for Magadheera’s remake

Shahid Kapoor was all over the headlines last year. All thanks to his marriage with Mira Rajput and the failure of his ‘Shandaar’ film with Alia Bhatt. After delivering a power-packed performance in ‘Haider,’ audiences had high expectations from this versatile star but, with ‘Shandaar’ he fell flat on his face. Now, he is gearing up for his next film titled ‘Rangoon’ alongside Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut. Once again he is going to tie up with his ‘Haider’ maker Vishal Bharadwaj setting up the expectations high again.

Apart from this, Shahid apparently has one more film in the kitty that is of S S Rajamouli’s Magadheera Remake. For quite some time now, rumours having been making the rounds that Shahid has been signed for Magadheera’s remake which would be directed by Abhishek Kapoor under Sajid Nadiadawala’s banner. Till date there was no confirmation on this but, in a latest interview Shahid cleared the confusion and said that yes, he has been approached for the film. Sasha said, “I still have not heard the script and no, I haven’t signed the film yet. But if you are asking me whether I have been approached for the film, then yes, they have come to me. But I am yet to sit for a script narration.”

Well, good to know that Shahid’s not-so-good performance in ‘Shandaar’ has not overshadowed his image of an actor who can deliver good films.

Shahid would also be seen in ‘Udta Punjab’ wherein  he would share screen space with ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.
